A belter of a Production House tune this. Sounded very 1992 despite coming out in 1993. The flip, 'Euphoria' does sound very junglistic though. Both extremely uplifting tracks! :D

Remember accidentally recording an episode of the late nite show, BPM way back in 1993 and discovering that I had caught a feature on the Production House label. I'm sure they interviewed Dice and a few behind the scenes guys. Can remember they played the vids for 'The Theme' by The House Crew and Nino's 'World Champion', and had 'Daydreaming' and 'Let Me Be Your Fantasy' by Baby D playing in the background. They also spoke about some of their non-hardcore music, but can't remember paying much attention to that stuff. A bloody good interview from what I remember.

Wish I'd had the foresight not to have recorded over it now. :(

Nice tune, but always prefered the remixes (of both tunes).
(Just more mental than the original, which is the way I like it :) ).

The remix of the theme always sounded like a mess to me, whereas the original is one of my favourites of the era although as above it was a little behind the times as things had sped up so much by late 92. I don't think I've ever heard it in any sets/tapes from back then.

Agreed anything Nino touched turned to gold, Future of Latin & The Gun are quality tunes, and I absolutely love Euphoria.....

Now who was it that did the 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!' vocal that the House Crew sampled for 'The Theme'? I know it was from that 'Peace in the valley. Peace in the city. Peace in your soul' girly house track. Sabrina Johnson springs to mind???

Not bad for my ole braincells to remember the artist on this one. Was just a wee flashback I had earlier when I remembered the vocals. Can see me remembering nowt but oldskool hardcore facts and samples when I'm a dementia patient in an old folks home 30 years from now!
