Unmixed CD comps

Post by Junglist_Refugee » Tue Jul 24, 2012 11:21 am

Hey lads

Looking for some recommendations for top drawer CD compilations

Unmixed obviously , flagged quite a few on the cogs, mainly the kickin hardleaders series

Any suggestions?

As mentioned - Hardleaders (and other kickin ones)

Kickin Mental Detergent 1 & 2

Kaos Theory 1-3 (Although some are edits) - Vol 4 wasn't all that.

Hi,

All the albums that Jumpin and Pumpin put out had great track selections, and featured FULL length tracks, unlike a lot of the more popular comps.

Also quite a few Jap only CD comps well worth getting

Some of the American 140 BPM+ comps on Moonshine are pretty good, although they have a habit of cutting the the first and last 5 seconds off tunes. God knows why.

For a load of Tone Def 1993 classics I'd severely recommend this one...
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Techno-T ... se/2178908

One of the best 'Sessions' compilations, especially for some rare Production House and Reinforced tracks anmongst other classics...
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Old-Scho ... se/1276803

If you can get your hands on it and don't mind a bit of jungle, then this has some seriously rare stuff on it (Mystery Man 'Love E (Remix)'!!!!)...
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Essentia ... se/1487475

Both of the React 'Darkside' albums. Though Volume 1 is pretty pricey at £20...
http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Dark ... ease/93309
http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Dark ... ease/66615

These are also top comp. Vol2 has the bonus of Nookie's 'Give A Little Love' being 1:30 mins longer than the mix that was on 'The ove Is E.P.' FYI...
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Classic- ... ase/202866
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Classic- ... ase/327268

Last but definitely not least, this little comp from Reinforced full of some serious classic oldskool tracks and going for just over a fiver too...

Jungle Mania Volumes 1 & 2 all CD's are totally unmixed, and I think the 1st CD on JM Volume 3 is totally umixed, but definitly not CD2.

Loads of Death Becomes Me & Breakdown Records CD compilations are also unmixed which featured many popular Kniteforce and Suburban Base released records.
