I like that, but it just sounds too fast.

agreed - too fast - u lose the atmosheric side of the tune when it gets too fast imo

Exactly the same tempo as the one played (180bpm) - is fast, but wanted it to be as close as possible to this :

There's no such thing as "too fast" in my books.

Great work RG.

Awesome vibes RG! I hear that telephone ring you were looking for :P sits well in the mix. I'd raise the lvl of the stab by just a bit, gets drowned a bit in the heavy mix with the drums.

I got the little sound from another live version of it (just applied a noise filter)- still not the whole sound, but it'll do.

Not eq'd properly - just on headphones. I have cleaned up that stab though on the better quality copy I've saved out - the youtube one is purposely low quality.

Sounds great Steve :) Agree about the BPM though - I know it's 180bpm in that clip but DJs never play tracks on 0% pitch, it might be as high as +8%! So personally I would take your finished version and simply pitch the whole thing down by about 6-8%. Then it will still sound like this when people DJ with it but sound more 'sensible' when played at zero (as most MP3s do.)

I agree on the speed, it sounds odd, nice work on the remake though mate :-D
That'd be handy - think the main sounds I have are from a 192 vinyl rip.

Ref the speed - I've up'd a clip of it at a slower speed (but to me, it just sounds wrong as I've heard it too often at the played out speed) :

Slowed down or sped up, whatever, it's f*cking wicked.

Great job RG!
