I can't think of any that I regret, paid 63 for soothe my soul about 10 years ago which I could have got much cheaper since, you don't know at the time though! It's probably up around that price for a mint one now I would imagine.

My most expensive are

Eastern Promise 132
First Taste 75
Critical Rhythm 001 55
Tic Tac Toe 50
Legal Offence Burnin Up 50

Plenty more around the 50 mark but nothing too crazy!

Would have to be near mint for that price! Its tough to find though, still after it myself.

Jedi, did you get that copy of SL2 from Destiny? A friend of mine sold a whole heap of records to them in 1997, he tagged up a lot of his tunes I've got a few of them!

My most extravagant purchase was for this at £40 from the Camden Music & Video Exchange about 4 years ago...

http://www.discogs.com/Jungle-Buddha-Ju ... ase/282072

Though I have to say that it was absolutely well worth it, despite 'The Tardis (Rmx)' and 'Living In The Lie' being okay tracks. Was all about 'Hired Gun' and 'Drug Me (Rmx)'. Classic darkcore which I haven't seen on Discogs in an age! :D

I've been very lucky to grab some right doozies for near to nowt by raking through bargain bins and second hand record shops way before anyone started seeing any worth in old breakbeat hardcore. Best was DJ Clarkee 'E.P Volume II' for 50p in Cash Converters and Acen's 'Trip II The Moon Pt. 1' for about £4. It sounded shit when I played it in the shop, but was brought back to life with some soap and water to remove 10 years worth of gunk and grime.

Ive paid 50s for quite a lot. The ones i regret paying for are the easy to get stuff on the big labels which i picked up in the mid-late 90s when i didnt think id ever see another copy. So lots of stuff in just ok condition for 10-12 quid that i could have gotten mint for less now.

My most expensive purchase would be smaller than zero - love juice vol 1 at 120 quid. Shhhh my missus prob got told it was about 30 quid haha.

Hi,

I got this in my Electro box, and, sure its a good EP, with 2 good tracks, but come on - its no way worth more than £20-30...

Indeed, very average ep.

I originally picked it up just to make a quick buck.
Had a offer from someone in reflex for €1000 a few years back.
Can't bring myself to sell it yet tho...

I'd say it was worth a bit more than that personally.

But maybe not quite that much

Piece of history... Turbine & Data Transfer = beginnings of a Legend.

I wish people wouldn't do that i.e. buy speculatively, just makes it more difficult for proper fans who would genuinely appreciate owning a copy.

Personally i paid too much for my copy of Dj Crystl Warp Drive on ebay about 5 years ago.
the guy selling it was using a stock photo of the original record & listing it as "new" or "mint", when i got it through the post it turned out to be the repress, i paid £15.00 which i thought was reasonable for an original copy (particularly if it was mint). i then asked him for a refund (for false advertising & conning me). which he wouldnt do - so i was stuck with it.

It turned out though that the slighly different mix of Warp Drive on that record (unbeknownst to me at the time) was actually my favourite version, so i was happy in the long run. i notice there's now 2 copies of the repress on the cogs now for £30.00 & an original NM is going to cost £30.00 / £40.00 still.
so alls well that ends well :-D

I remember them Jungle Buddha's coming up but couldnt justify spending the money when i know i can get 15-20 tunes id probably play more. Probably regret it now as i did get some stuff of the same seller and it was in beautiful condition

It's by one half of drexciya and only appeared on a small detroit label, so, it is 'worth' a lot more than £20-£30, whether you rate it or not.

True, I was guilty of trying to make money from the record, in fairness it was hard to turn down at the time.

I've spent silly money on quite a few other bits, that I am genuinely into!

Boards of Canada vinyls are always pricey, 1 other jewels in the collection are Metallica Justice for all 4*12" green vinyls 180gram audiophile stuff! That was around the €170 mark I think
