This is good to hear Ron :-) Like many others have said, I'd be more than happy to pay decent money for WAV copies of your Back Cat. Thought I would add my personal Top 10 'wants' of your productions to the request mix!

Scott Free, My First Adventure
Ruff With The Smooth, Art Of Intelligence
Mad Dogs, Seance, Jack & Phil Remix
Mad Dogs, Out, Jack & Phil Remix
Jack Smooth & Wax Doctor, Unfriendly
Jack n Phil, I Like It
Jack n Phil, Don't Beg 4 Love
Jack n Phil, We Are Unity
Fast Floor, Timeless
Fast Floor, Trippin On Sunshine

I have a question, something has been bugging me for ages.....

Is the instrumental on this....

http://www.discogs.com/Jack-n-Phil-Tek- ... ease/37623

Different to the instrumental on this....

http://www.discogs.com/Jack-N-Phil-Feat ... ster/64096

I can see it says remix on the repress, I can't hear anything different in the arrangement
It sounds so different to the first 1993 instrumental & I can't put my finger on why
I play the repress copy all the time as it is so punchy & clear, probably the best sounding vinyl I've ever heard

It wouldn't surprise if it was the same track re-eq'd, I'll take a listen later today, we might have reloaded it due to a bad DAT, that's also possible.

Hi Ron, if you don't mind talking about it can I ask about your history with Alex Reece? I've noticed there are tracks on Liquid Wax listed as 'engineered' by him at your studio, eg this:

http://www.discogs.com/Ment-4-Bass-You- ... ease/80898

And there are others that list you as having some creative input, however I noticed on your Soundcloud page that apparently he didn't have any input on 20 Hurts. Did you mentor/teach him to engineer? Or were you really the one behind all the tracks as with many of the Basement artists?

You've answered your own question in its entirety.

;-)

Some people are not nearly as gifted as they would have themselves believe.

Hi Ron,
I absolutely love this tune, i first heard it on a compilation album and thought this really sounds like a basement track, I see you engineered it in '93
Did Aubrey just make the tea that day? and let you get on with it?

Aubs has always been a good buddy of mine... he's clever. He would tell you that I had plenty of creative input on his tracks... but, he was never a 'talent leach' he's very good at what he does and also he is a very nice chap. I hope he is well, haven't spoken to him for ages... a good fella and a credit to the 91-95 era.

;-)

(just listened to it... yet another tune I forgot about, quite nice actually)

Nice tune that! Found a seller that's got that and those two you posted on FB the other day, Ultimate High and Set Me Free (didn't know you made either of those!) love all these tracks that are coming out of the woodwork :)

I didn't want to sound like i was dissing Aubrey it's just the track sounds like a straight up Jack Smooth production.
Would love it if you made a few more like this 8)

Not to worry... it didn't come across that way.
