I doubt if I will be in a position to do anything until mid next year but a 'Best of Jack Smooth' ltd run, hand signed, vinyl pack with a quality printed booklet containing the history of each release has been discussed. Let's see if we can make it happen, but it will take some time.

Fantastic news, but in your own time is fair enough, well worth waiting for in my book.

Speaking of Books, would you ever write one? Would love to know more about how you made your tunes in more detail (If you can remember that far back for the finer deets? & how you do things differently now, with technology advancing etc & also your experience of the whole scene (Seen in your eyes) come and go.

Just putting it out there??!! :-)

I hope Nu-urban going under hasn't put an end to this pressing,
if you was going to put it out this way
It would never have gone through them, it's actually someone on here I've been talking too... they know who they are and I'm still interested FYI. I'm just too caught up in different business at the moment. I really want to do a (meticulous) very high quality job so there is no rush. There will probably need to be multiple releases to get all of the best stuff in - we'll see... demand will dictate what happens as we will possibly release as 'pre-order, invitiation only'.

Nothing has been agreed or planned at this stage.

;-)

There's no need to write a book, just ask me anything you want. I can tell you how every record was made - it still feels like yesterday to me.

I have just noticed the Youtube comments on this tune and the fact that the riff is built out of Loftgroover's fart has caused me much amusement.

I used to have the following Dave Angel set on tape and always found the timing of MC Bassman's comment (@ 38:30 in the link below) rather funny when the Techno Bros tune drops.

This is the best thread on any forum on the internet ever, and I'm only 2 years too late.

1. Ron Wells, you are God. Between you and Top Buzz you are responsible for fueling my hardcore addition. I've got the Buzz coming to Cardiff in May, my set is already planned and at least 5 of your productions are already in the bag.

2. You must have made this - http://hardcorewillneverdie.com/audio/u ... smooth.mp3 (apols if B2VOS have already sorted this - I've been MIA for many, many years...)
- what is it? Please release it...

3. When it comes to your work 1991-1995 I have bottomless pockets. Re-issue that shit right now, along with all the unreleased dubs you used to chuck Ratty/Top Buzz and please take my money. Especially interested in your retrospective/book idea thingy.

4. Your pic of your DATs is pornography of the highest order.

Did I mention you are God?
