Post by squatski » Sat Jul 19, 2008 10:26 am

I think they have their place in the scene, they might be the Greenday of the oldskoolrave scene but I do somtimes like 'Clipper' i think it's called.

but yes, their new sets are a bit of a bore.

I love them...kept the scene alive imo and I always make the effort to sing along and show my support.

Their sets are always a suprise, you never know what they're gonna play.

F**k the haters!!!

im gonna be bold and go against the grain here !
i respect them for what they do,they are one of the few original old skool acts that can consistantly fill a club.
if nothing else they deserve repect for that.
agreed there sets are a bit samey and its the anthems time and time again BUT ratpack know their audience and frankly thats eactly what the regular people want to hear.
you gotta remember people on here are enthusiastic about old skool hardcore and love all the unknown tunes and out of the ordinary stuff and are tired of anthems in general,BUT were the minority !
so respect to the ratpack for doing THEIR thing as it is still working very well for them !
there aint a DJ on her who doesnt wish he/she could pull the same numbers of people as them !.

i still wouldnt go to see them tho !! lol

They are ok. There's better stuff though ..

Not hardcore related, still from what i've heard, i think that MC Conrad is a better mc..

I didn't rate MC Conrad at all, he ruined a lot of good Bukem sets in my opinion - always shouting pointless 'shite' over the best bits of the tunes!!
The best Ratpack sets i've heard are from Rapido in 1990 and from Obsession '3rd Dimension' Oct '92. Everson Allen's Mc'in is annoying tho! They played a part in the old skool scene and are to be respected for that!

I think Conrad doesnt sound annoying most of the times.. knows when an mc shoud speak and when not.
Then, there's many Bukem sets and i guess there's any kind of stuff, annoying or exellent. Have heard more good ones than bad.. enough for me to say he's a good MC.

MC Lethal - best hardcore mc in my opinion.

Let's make it clear:
i think we'll agree 2 disagree then mate!
I understood you said we have different tastes, and thus having a different opinion. In agreement with what i though you were saying, i said its 'each to their own'. Personally, i don't see it as an offensive response.

Whether is Conrad a shit mc or not, i don't really care much. For me it's always up to a personal opinion and view.

Thinking you made a point different from what you really said isn't mocking mate.

Besides, its best not to hear any MC in a set.
