Economix ep repress question.

Post by aize » Sat Jan 05, 2008 12:46 pm

So how many got repressed then? Sadly missed out on this one, just wondering how hard it would be to get a hold of.

U can have mine for £15 inc postage if u like. I thought the pressing was crap compared to the original, but then again - I am a fussy git :)

Hmmmn you're right, the sound quality is really muffled. That's weird cos i read somewhere it was repressed using the original metalwork, must have got damaged somewhere along the way. Think i might have to pass but thanks anyway. Just gotta find a spare 1er for a copy of the original.

Good luck finding an original ;) There are 2 pressings - one sounds similar to that, but the other is a bit clearer. Not sure how u tell them apart though apart from actually listening to them.

Be interested to know why the 2 original pressings sound different as well. Curious.

Whata buncha bastards. Can't blame them i spose as everyone needs to make a buck or 2 but still that's pretty tragic. Need to look out for a pink labled copy then.

i have the repress, and didn't notice anything wrong with the pressing. however, i hardly ever bother to play it. it's one of those tunes that you want for a while, but then when you have finally have it, it's a bit too cheesy so you never really spin it.

i think this is a good record. for me the best tune is the more housey one. ive got both the repress and the pink label original and have no problems with either! was pretty chuffed with the repress tbh!!

Never got what the fuss was about with this one, generic fromage of the most aromatic calibre.

Must be a northern thing.
