Re: Kiss 100 FM Fans

I found that site a while back and posted the Westwood vid on Facebook. Jeez, the amount of abuse I got just because it was Westwood.

Re: Bug In The Bass Bin

Well, BITBB came out the end of 1992, but on 45 it's about 162bpm, and pitched down to minus 8 hits 149bpm (ish). They'd need to be careful about it and make sure the decks had been adjusted slightly to get them down to minus 10 or 12 or something like that, but it is still possible that they could'...

Bug In The Bass Bin

I put a similar thread on another forum, but no reply yet...

Anybody got any idea when Grooverider started to play Bug In The Bass Bin on 45rpm? I've found an Edge set from June 1993 where he does it, has anybody got any earlier examples?

Top Buzz @ Nitrous set starter

The tape starts with Bodysnatch, but what's the tune that they actually start their set with? "Just because we play what the people want" It should be a well known one.

Re: Quick ID please?

Sod the clip, here's 30mins of Top Buzz - it's their first track, not Bodysnatch but the first in their set.

Quick ID please?

Top Buzz used to play it. Samples "I can't wait to break and eliminate" from Follow The Leader - Eric B and Rakim, also "Just because we play what the people want" from Pirates Anthem - Shabba Ranks.

Any ideas?

I'll see if I can get a clip up in a bit...

Cradles to the Rave - Venue Magazine article from 1991

Article about the Bristol / West rave scene from 1991. Sorry it's in such a state, it's hard to photocopy bound volumes of Venue very well, things end up disappearing into the crease a lot...

Re: Bookworm Repressed

Bookworm, although it's as good a name as any, isn't necessarily the title of the 2nd tune either, it's just labeled that way on the producer CD. The Bookworm is the producer / artist alias Bukem was going under for Who Knows vol. 1. It's debatable if it was ever given a title until the Producer CD ...

Re: Why don't they make DnB like this any more....

I've heard that Bukem used to demand certain things from a tune or he wouldn't put it out, such as drum outros that were long enough to get the swirly drawn out intros of other tunes into. It was what he required to mix these tunes because they have so many musical elements to them it's hard to get ...

That's because DFC, the guys behind this compilation, were also behind Sueno Latino.
