Re: Photek/Truper Box Set from Basement

Seen lots of comments about this over the last few days on Facebook/Discogs etc implying that Photek indeed isn't getting a cut of this. I must admit although I'm happy to own it, I feel a little dirty having paid £60 for it and 0% going to the artist. I assumed that the high price was due to the l...

Re: Bestival

They had 1210's, that massive turntable prop
and these odd CDJ & turntable looking things they can hold like a guitar

Re: Bestival

I'm back now, I really enjoyed it, heard a bit of hardcore on the port on Saturday night
As Gyr8 said there was plenty of other stuff to watch/hear, so I avoided the jive bunnies of rave
Jurrasic 5 was a personal highlight, proper raw hip hop, cut chemist scratching it up

I wouldn't be so smug to think I knew everthing, everyday is a school day, just an unknown white label here

Bestival

Is anyone going on here?

I see Slipmatt's world of rave is there, I'll probably avoid that though

Re: Every genre, ever

I never really liked the term Rave (even though I use it daily)

Rave just reminds of music you never heard at a real rave, like The Shamen or Rozalla

Re: Basement Records Represses from a few years back

All this means is there will be no decent quality releases in the future,
It is a crying shame that this music will be lost forever
The whole thing makes me sad

Re: Every genre, ever

House/garage, Hardcore & Jungle/D&B

Forget the rest as quite frankly they are annoying

When I hear words like future or NU it just seems embarrassing to me
