Prodigy/Liam and his current production

Well it's got to be done at some point now the new Prodigy album is knocking around. So we all know Liam is a God at what he does, and the latest batch of tunes are very tightly produced, but... Reading d&b and other newer genre of music forums, the reception is not good. Although most agree that th...

Re: Hoovers in FL

I would have called that a Hypersaw and not a reece, I thought a reece was 2 offset osc's... Yes that's the 'official' Reece. :) I'm referring to the overall sound, not the exact original way of producing a Reece. In fact most people in D&B use the Hypersaw method to produce offshoot Reece's now as...

Datafile 2

Zero G's Datafile Vol 2.
Can't seem to find this on the net, data1 seems to be floating around, but not Vol 2.

Anyone seen this listed on tor's etc, or is it a no go?

Re: hardcore breaks goes mainstream?

I read an interview about the making of the album, and apparently after months of being in the studio they ended up with a pile a shit demos. So they said fuck it and on purpose decided to make an old skool track for some live gig, and to “go back to their roots” for kicks and for some relief. A...

Re: Hoovers in FL

Like Squatski pointed out about wave side of the sound, it started out like a reece. Although I didn't save the edit I did, I just exported it so not fully sure what I did with it.. #-o If I did it the way I normally do for Reece ish sounds in Massive, then I would have used one osc, with a saw, in ...

Re: Hoovers in FL

It sounds like a Hoover to me *cleans ears out*

Thank's for the offer, but the idea was to use something else (Saw's using massive and FL in this case) to make or come close to the hoover sound.

Hoovers in FL

I was aiming to make the whole thing in FL but ended up using Massive for the basic saw sound, and then exported it in using FL for the rest. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MVJYXX0M The attack etc is not sorted, just playing around with the overall sound at the moment. It's not going to replace the Ju...

Parallel Compression + PDC problem in FL (The Fix)

Might be of help to someone on here as it's a massive annoyance when using this technique resulting in plug-in delay. In case your wondering what the hell I'm talking about I'll try and give a explanation of the issue. Parallel compression, or also known as the New York trick, is mostly used on drum...

Federal Reserve

One for our cousins over the pond. First of all, this is not a conspiracy rant, I don't believe in the illuminati nor do I think the company is run by people set on world domination, but one thing is clear... the FED has America by the balls. The company was set-up up in a sneaky secretive way to tr...

Re: Slammin'Vinyl question..

You would have thought so, but going by their Absolute Old Skool Classic vinyl packs... it sounds like they are using tape rips never mind CD or DAT, terrible quality  Not uncommon for the labels to lose all the original copies though, in fact it's a surprise most of the time when a decent rep...
