Re: Bell sample in Bukem - Music

Another rip off is Adam F's circles tune.
A milestone record for the genre and his career, but a complete rip-off of the jazz record called Westchester Lady by Bob James.

Re: Hoovers in FL

I just posted a link to a Massive video, he uses the same basic saw I did for this hoover.

NI Massive BassTutorial. (Sub Focus)

Don't know if this has been posted before, but anyone with Massive, or thinking about it for making bass's might find this interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK1ocGVDibg It's not a tutorial as such, just a quick brisk over what he does for bass sounds, however you should understand what's g...

Re: So what are we classing oldskool as these days?

Well I don't agree or disagree with that really, just wondering what the general feeling was on it, as it's rather common now to include mid 90's stuff as oldskool. For Hardcore I would agree that 93 was end in conjunction with the 'split' but some on here are into their mid 90's Jungle, and the for...

So what are we classing oldskool as these days?

Is the site keeping it to the 'golden years' era of rave, or do we have some date it cuts off at now?

Mid to late 90's right up to 2000 stuff is now being classed oldskool, I don't know what limits we are putting on it to post

Re: Goldie - Temper Temper

I don't understand this tune, when it came out my mates thought it was the shit.
I just think it is shit.
His vocal sounds like it's for another tune, it's not running with the main feel of the track at all. :?

Processing Breaks

Not as in cutting them up or a bit of EQ, but hardcore tweaking techniques to make them sound more modern. Thought it might be nice to share your methods on how you go about it. Personally, I NY trick the breaks and then run them pass Izotope Ozone to see what I can do with it. Depending what I want...

Re: Bell sample in Bukem - Music

Sounds right, most of his early stuff was sampled from Detroit techno tunes.
I think he used a Juan Atkins sample for one of his other famous tunes (forgot what one, brain is in shut down)

Don't know what Music is sampled from though.
