Re: Prodigy/Liam and his current production

I think it depends on who they are aiming for. They've always made music (other than very first tracks) for the 'top of the pops' ravers rather than underground purists. They've become a brand so they'll sell pretty well regardless of content. True... but they have also had thier own sound which ha...

Sacred Do It Together (what's the vocal from?)

I post this yearly on the site in the hope that a new user comes along and knows this, it's also a shared annoyance by other sample ID spotters. The female singing vocal on Do It Together has escaped everyone so far, can you.. for the love of God and all that is good... help the sample ID spotters w...

Re: Questions for Hellfish (Bogwoppa Records)?

On Mu-Venom, what is the sample that goes “any any jitter beat” come from? (been bugging me for ages) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xF_PlS11RPg Check out 5:08 on there. I think that's the sample you mean (it says moving to the beat) It's a cut up section of a Freez tune if I remember rightly. ...

Robert Babicz (Rob Acid) on mastering - Video

To call this guy fruity would be an understatement. Mastering engineers = magicians in modern times, I can't help but watch geeky video's like this in interest. http://www.vimeo.com/808485 In one part he talks about current methods of compressing 'US HipHop' and mumbles off this technique for it, qu...

Re: Questions for Hellfish (Bogwoppa Records)?

The bass on a lot of SS tunes seems very clear and prominent in the mix compared to other tunes at the time. Was there any conscious technical process you did to achieve this?

Re: Bell sample in Bukem - Music

Hardcore/Jungle producers in blatant sampling shocker! Who'd have thunk it :) I'll bet there were a few that thought Acen brought in an orchestra for Trip To The Moon 2 lol. Sampling a short segment off a record to use creatively in a completely different song structure = sampling Coping multiple e...

Nice one guys, didn't even know we had sharks similar looking to great whites here.
Then again, my knowledge of wildlife doesn't extend much beyond the fact it's outside my house.

Re: Great White's in the UK?

Well it's a cornish accent (I think, it's english anyway) in the video, and it looks like a Great White to me.
So is the video a fake, or the shark not a Great White?
