Re: ** Youtube Channel Owners Important **

A couple of hundred was a very extreme prediction.

I think the YT channels should just continue. This site will be gone within a year. Once all the people who want to buy have bought, how many MP3s will they sell next year? Nowt.

Re: ** Youtube Channel Owners Important **

It just irks me that all this is probably going to be over about a couple of hundred quit for each artist if they're lucky. The music industry doesn't exist anymore at this level and there's not a lot of point fighting against it. If the likes of Radiohead are giving albums away for free and asking ...

Re: ** Youtube Channel Owners Important **

Just thinking about you'd make a site like HJ, but make it workable. We've all been talking about what HJ have done wrong, what would we do to make a site like that viable (obviously viability is relative, it's never going to make a lot of money). Maybe like an online version of a pop-up shop. 3 mon...

Re: ** Youtube Channel Owners Important **

DJ Monk has said "one of my tunes has got 100k views on YT, I don't know if anyone's getting paid but...." Here's a thought regarding that. DJ Monk has said he's annoyed that someone could potentially be making money off his tunes by having them on their channel, and rightly so. How about the fact ...

Re: ** Youtube Channel Owners Important **

All I see is the artists involved saying how we don't want the original artists to get paid. Andy Wright (The Moog etc) seems to be involved in the running of HJ too and has said the same thing. EVERYBODY wants the artist to get paid. DJ Monk has said "one of my tunes has got 100k views on YT, I don...

Re: ** Youtube Channel Owners Important **

Obscure dubplates from 1992 are not exactly going to be flying off the shelves are they? The only people who are going to buy them are the collectors, obsessives, trainspotters and serious old skool heads. I.E. Us. And now we're not going to be buying them. Good luck with the sales. I'm sure those p...

Jack Smooth from on here...or Basement Phil for that matter.

I know the guests are more on the jungle/DnB side but maybe someone like Sy (controversial!), Seduction, Dougal etc

Re: The largest collection of Rave related info in the world

Well he's repeatedly said how difficult it's been to track down M-Beat ('he' not 'they' :)) so maybe not that easy to sort. The rest I'd agree, it's purely dependent on whether those people have the time available. I get the impression most of the people who get interviewed are well known to him, h...
