Re: Your music choices after the scene had died..

I never really followed happy hardcore and went the Jungle route in the early to mid 90s. It, but It kinda died for me after Dread Bass came out. Nothing stood out, everyone copied the B-line from it and Jungle became stale. D&B is ok, but I never really got into it big time like the early days of h...

Re: MOT and service

I'm in SE London and was looking around for someone to do this for me. Most places wanted around £90 per turntable which I found a bit much for a couple of phono leads, some wire and an hours work. I found a place in Streatham who quoted me £45 per turntable for new phono leads, new ground wire and ...

Re: Which DJ's just fell off the map completely?

Interestingly I came across Ellis Dees Youtube account yesterday while I was browsing Yellow Magic Orchestra. None of his own tunes on there. He had some Tek9 and others.

Re: Home Recording from your decks

I use a Minidisc recorder. They can be had very cheap on Ebay. Hit record then you can transfer to a computer at your leisure. It might be a little old fashioned but I like it. On certain models you can go into the settings and turn the headphone out into an adjustable line out.

Re: New Pioneer turntable

Fuck me they are pricey. To my mind I don't see how the Technics 1200/1210 can really be improved. Sure there are newer turntables with more torque, stiffer tonearms, pitch reset ect. But they are still all based on the 1200. The design was pretty much perfect from the off. There is nothing you cant...

Soundcard advice.

I recently bought an Akai MPK25 which I will be using mostly with Abelton Live 8. My soundcard is an old Soundblaster Audigy 5.1. Anyone know if will be able to cope with Abelton, or is it too old and weedy?
