Re: Champion Sound - Unreleased Mix Remake

Good effort there RG.
I love that unreleased remix. SS played it at Helter Skelter BITD and it got rewound 3 times. Ratty played it at a Jungle night in Swindon last year and I totally lost it.

Slightly slower bpm would be good so it could be mixed with older Jungle tracks.

I'd buy it.

Re: Fat Controller - Incomplete Darkness (Portal Remix)

Its never been released or given away as a freebie.

From what Enzyme's told me it was done to be released on one of the Helter Skelter compilations but wasn't chosen as they'd gone for 4/4 kick & breakbeat rather than a breaks style beat.

Re: Any Logic Pro 9/Mac users?

I got Logic 9 earlier this year. Only synth I've bought is Massive and some computer music freebies.

Don't use Recycle as you the new flextime picks up transients and can be used to timestretch & chop.

Re: Name a tune & why

Probably Enzyme & Malice 'Dance the Night Away' because it kicked off the Pure Hardcore Breaks mixes which is how I found out about HCBs

Re: Free VST plugins thread

There are some great freebies out there although its slightly limiting being a Logic user and restricted to Audio Units. I do use the TAL stuff a lot (especially the Dub II Delay). There are some pretty good freebies from Bluecat (especially the Spectrum Analyser) and Voxengo. The Oscilloscope that ...

Or to avoid the wobble speeding up or slowing down depending on what note you hit. Use a non-wobble sample and apply a wobble using the samplers LFO.

Re: Danny Byrd feat. Liquid - Sweet Harmony

At risk of being slated I like both remixes by Danny Byrd. I do like it when D&B takes a look back at its Hardcore or Jungle history. Maybe its not the most original thing ever or there are elements people don't like but its a lot better than the countless remixes of classics that come out every yea...

Re: Fave Aphrodite tune....

Love virtually all his stuff between '91 and '98. Most of my faves have been mentioned already but a couple that haven't are 'Big Booyaa' (love the wobbly bassline), 'Mash Up Yer Know', 'Fire (Urban Shakedown Remix' and 'Music Hypnotising'.

More recently, DeeKline's 'Outta Space' is a blatant take on Prodigy (which I'd like a lot better without the horrid 'Your Momma, your sister' vocal bit).
Thats one of my favourite parts of that bootie!

Re: Hardcore Compilations - Cheating?

Back in the day most of my collection was compilations. At the time I was a student and most of the money I had went on bike stuff. No money to spare on decks or 12". These days I do like to buy 12" but have been put off buying second hand records as they're either in poor condition or more expensiv...
