SKANNA 07 / SKANNA08 Reissues Out Now
Just saw this on Discogs, thought I'd post up here so anyone who wanted to could grab them and not miss the boat: Cheers! "Until 2015 all Skanna masters where believed to be lost to cutting houses, defunct labels and the ravages of time leaving only compilations from the time to fill in the blanks. ...

Yeah, Power Play is a great comp. Can be had for around 15 quid, well worth it. Tango Project 1 Remix is on there, great track.

Re: Any goals (musically) for next year?
Yeah, that's one of the questions I am struggling with at the moment. Right now I am leaning towards buying 1 deck at a time, and getting the best 1210 I can for my money each time off ebay (Mk 5's). Even if it takes me a lot longer, I kinda want to do that at the moment. But then again, I may get a...

Get some decks, to replace the ones I sold in 2004. Record a vinyl mix, for the first time since 1996! Can't wait.

That D'Cruz remix is on Kenny Ken / Randall back2back Awol August 93, which is an awesome set, funnily enough they mix out of it, and into Doc Scott's NHS (with it's own piano intro), before that SS piano kicks in. And The Warning, above, is also in that Awol mix set too, but they run the whole tune...

Re: Bought anything "Retro" lately?
In the past 6 months I bought back (nearly all) of my record collection from 93-96. Bought 160+ records off discogs & ebay, and a few from Oxfam! Ouch to the wallet. Sold my technics and record collection in 2004 to fund house purchase, regretted ever since, tried digital mixing, didn't like it, so ...

Saw a lad with a proper undercut on the train last night, he must of been about 17/18 I reckon. I seem to grow my hair long every 10 years or so, and that time has come again now I'm hitting 40, and I still wear lumberjack shirts that Pearl Jam would have been proud of. None of it is intentionally r...

Wait a while for the page to fully load, the page is linked into Facebook comments so they don't show up straigt away, especially on a mobile browser.eazyflow wrote:I might be being thick here, but how do I view the comments section?
They are, as usual, at the bottom of the article.

Re: An answer i had from Jack Smooth..
I also get the prog rock thing though the likes of Caravan is perhaps a step too far. I love weird time signatures too. King Crimson - Frame by Frame springs to mind. I never could get into the two early albums, but the Andy Belew / Tony Levin period is great. Levin on the chapman stick is ace. Bru...

1) Do you have any memories of the session for Kev Bird's Unfriendly recording? I love that track, the almost backwards mid section, and pushing beats n synth lines. Wasn't unfriendly done by Wax Doctor & Ron? I had signed CD by Ned's Atomic Dustbin lol Yep, you got me there. Mr Wax Doctor & Jack S...

I was just listening to the peshay remix of inner city life last night. I didn't realise she was unwell. She had an amazing voice. RIP.
