With a competent musical ability throughout school, I got into the dance music genres around 1997, thanks to Galaxy radio in Sheffield (Yes, it used to be good!). I quickly realised there was much more than just the commercial stuff, and found the current house music more and more appealing. Going clubbing seriously got me into the growing trance / house scene, and I found myself watching every program on dance music, buying magazines, buying CDs, you know how it is. I alos started using my computer to produce music, which is something I'm still fond of today. To aid my passion further, I decided to learn how to mix, and was beatmatching soon after (well, attempted beatmatching!). This made my fondness for house music grow, and I had a yearn to find all the tracks I had missed out on. Within my voyage I discovered the oldskool sound, and loved it.

The dream of all DJs and producers, to play at events and get records released! I have become quite competant in using audio on the computer over the years, and have a bit of hardware too. I produce mainly house, hardcore, progressive house, a bit of D&B and hope to carve my own sound which people enjoy. My productions so far and my DJing have had good comments, so, who knows ... :)

If you want to hear my tunes, another mix of a different genre or ask me to play at an event :) then email me at:

Tune Selection: 8/10 Interesting but weird mix, at least it was different. Tried to cover too many areas for the mix, but would have worked in a longer set I think. Respect for Aurora and Kid Unknown, way underplayed, also for the de wulf stuff.

Mixing Ability: 8/10 Fine mixing, order was a little bizarre, from fast to slow to stompy. Nice use of samples tho, more of an effort than usual. Making a complete break in the music requires decent tunes, and this set had them. Set would have had me on and off the dance floor though.

Overall Feel: 7/10 Good tune selection, but didn't work 100% for me in the mixes. Would like to hear another set though.

Tune Selection: 8/10 Probably the most underground and anthem-free selection of all the mixes, and this bunch of tunes go well together. Nice tune to start with too. Love the way they slow down the pace near the middle using the prodigy sample too, very good idea.

Mixing Ability: 7/10 On the whole very good, a little bit of cutting up and filtering always nice. My only criticism would be the first mix, its incredibly short and fades in and out, which in a dj competition is certainly not the way to start! Most of the other mixes are long and intricate, and the first should be the most so to keep the listener interested. Apart from that pretty good though.

Overall Feel: 8/10 Top marks for tune selection, the  mixing isn't ground breaking but is good enough, hardly any mistakes and it flows very nicely throughout.

Total = 23

Overall Score = 69
